Pack Engineering was founded by Lonnie Pack in 2021 due to an increased demand for specialised structural engineering expert witness services.

Lonnie has been providing expert witness services since 2017. The majority of Lonnie’s workload over the past several years has been in expert witness reporting. Past cases include industrial, infrastructure, residential, commercial, water, commercial and multistorey buildings, tanks, bridges, tunnels, rail, and contractual issues. Involvement in cases includes reporting, expert conclaves and appearing in court (Supreme Court of New South Wales and Supreme Court of Victoria).

Lonnie has fifteen years’ experience in Civil & Structural engineering across a range of commercial, infrastructure, mining and oil & gas projects. Experience is primarily focused on detailed design, with a background in soil-structure interaction, dynamic design, and finite element analysis. Projects include greenfield and brownfield designs for a variety of sites. Lead roles have included managing teams of more than 20 engineers and drafters for detailed design projects. Areas of knowledge include design and analysis of steel, concrete and timber structures, residential works, roads, bridges, dynamics, demolition, lifting analysis, geotechnical, foundations, and retaining walls.

Pack Engineering is proud to offer additional services from our Statistical Engineering Consultant. Statistics plays an important role in the sampling and testing of materials. With this new service, we can assess sampling and testing methods and results to determine the adequacy of materials used in construction. Details available upon request.
