Lonnie is the founding director of Pack Engineering and he is based in Sydney.

Lonnie has been providing expert witness services since 2017 and has worked on more than 50 cases. The majority of his workload over the past eight years has been in expert witness reporting. Past cases include industrial, infrastructure, residential, commercial, water, commercial and multistorey buildings, tanks, bridges, tunnels, rail, and contractual issues. Involvement in cases includes reporting, expert conclaves and appearing in court (Supreme Court of NSW and Supreme Court of Victoria).

Expert cases typically focus on compliance with Australian standards. Areas of knowledge include design and analysis of steel, concrete and timber structures, residential works, roads, bridges, dynamics, demolition, lifting analysis, geotechnical, foundations, and retaining walls. Lonnie has a special interest in complex designs and analysis, especially those requiring material testing and finite element analysis.

Lonnie has eighteen years’ experience in Civil & Structural engineering across a range of commercial, infrastructure, mining, and oil & gas projects. Experience is primarily focused on detailed design, with a background in soil-structure interaction, dynamic design, and finite element analysis.

Lonnie also wrote the widely used textbook, Australian Guidebook for Structural Engineers, which has now been published in two editions.

Evan is a consultant expert witness & principal civil/structural engineer at Pack Engineering and he is based in  Brisbane.

Evan has been providing expert witness services since 2020. Past cases include industrial, infrastructure, residential, commercial, and multistorey structures. Involvement in cases includes reporting, expert conclaves and appearing in court.

Expert cases typically focus on project management, construction, and design documentation. Areas of knowledge include steel and concrete design and construction.

Evan has seventeen years’ experience in Civil & Structural engineering across a range of commercial, infrastructure, mining, and oil & gas projects. Experience is primarily focused on project management and construction with a background in safety, constructability, auditing, and methodology reviews.
